🔊 Algo 8180 – Auto-Provisioning Setup (UsVox)

This guide explains how to configure auto-provisioning on the Algo 8180 IP Audio Alerter so the device can properly register with UsVox servers.

📌 Requirements

• Algo 8180 device powered on and connected to the network
• Device IP address
• Access to the web interface
• Active internet connection

🛠️ Step-by-Step Setup

1️⃣ Access the Web Interface

1. Obtain the IP address of the Algo 8180 (via DHCP server or network scan)
2. Open a web browser
3. Enter the device IP (example: http://192.168.1.100  )
4. Log in to the device

⚠️ Default credentials may vary. Refer to the manufacturer manual if needed.

2️⃣ Navigate to Provisioning Settings

1. Go to:

   ➤ Advanced Settings → Provisioning

3️⃣ Configure Auto-Provisioning

Set the following values:

• Server Method: Static  
• Static Server URL:

http://208.89.104.51/12/

4️⃣ Configure Provisioning Interval (Recommended)

According to Algo’s documentation:

• Set a Polling Interval (e.g., 60 minutes)

  This allows the device to automatically check for updates and re-provision if changes are made.

5️⃣ Save and Reboot

1. Click Save Settings
2. Reboot the device

✅ Verification

After reboot:

• The device should contact the UsVox provisioning server
• The device should appear as registered in the system

If the device does not register, verify:

• Internet connectivity
• Correct provisioning URL
• Firewall/NAT settings (HTTP access must be allowed)

⚠️ Basic Troubleshooting

Based on Algo best practices:

• Confirm the device has a valid IP address
• Verify you can ping the device from your local network
