π± Zoiper5 Softphone β Setup Guide (UsVox SIP Extension)
This guide explains how to configure your UsVox SIP extension using the Zoiper5 Free Softphone.
π Requirements
- Zoiper5 installed on your device
- SIP credentials will be provided by UsVox Support
- Username
- Password
- Server (Host or IP address)
π οΈ Step-by-Step Setup
1οΈβ£ Launch Zoiper5
After installing Zoiper5, open the application.
On the first screen, you will be prompted to enter your account credentials.
2οΈβ£ Enter SIP Credentials
- Username: Your SIP Username
- Password: Your SIP Password
Click Login

3οΈβ£ Enter Server Information
- Enter your UsVox SIP Server (sip.usvox.com:5060)
- Click Next
- When prompted, press Skip
- Then click Next again
If prompted for additional configuration, you can safely skip those steps.

4οΈβ£ Confirm Registration
Once completed:
- The account should show as Registered (showing green check mark) β
βοΈ Customize Account Settings (Recommended)
Set Authentication Username
- Select your account
- Enable advanced options (check mark if available)

Copy the Username into the field:
β€ Use Auth Username

Rename the Account

Change the Account Name to your extension number or a custom label
(Example: βSales 1001β)

Optimize Codecs
- Go to Advanced Settings
- Disable all codecs except: G.711 Β΅-law, G.711 A-law, and G.729

Save Changes Data
- Click outside the settings window
- Press 'Yes' to save all changes

β Add Additional Extensions (Optional)
- Press Add to configure another extension
- Repeat the same steps above
Press 'X' to start using your Softphone

β Result
Your Zoiper5 softphone is now configured and ready to:
- Make outbound calls
- Receive inbound calls
- Use your UsVox extension
β To return to advanced options or customization, press the settings icon.
