π¨ 911 Emergency Service Alert

Calling 911 using VoIP services is different from calling 911 using traditional landline services. To ensure your E911 Service functions properly, please read and follow the important guidelines below.
π Important Requirements for E911 Service
- The address you register for each phone number must match the physical location where the phone is being used.
- P.O. Boxes are not valid for E911 registration.
- If you move your device to a new location, you must update your E911 Service Address with UsVox before using the service.
β What Happens If You Don't Register Correctly
If you call 911 from an unregistered or incorrectly registered number, emergency services may be dispatched to the wrong location.
Emergency service personnel may not be able to transfer your call or provide assistance.
In some cases, the caller may need to verbally provide:
- The nature of the emergency
- The callerβs telephone number
- The current physical location
πΈ Penalty for Unregistered Calls
- $350.00 will be charged for each E911 call made from:
- An unregistered phone number
- A number with an incorrect or outdated E911 Service Address
π Service Limitations
The E911 Service may not be available in the following cases:
- Using the service outside the United States
- Power outages (VoIP depends on electricity)
- Internet outages or network congestion
- Issues with your router, modem, phone, or other hardware
- Suspended or canceled UsVox account (e.g., due to non-payment)
- Initial activation period β E911 may take time to fully provision after setup
π UsVox cannot guarantee that PSAP (Public Safety Answering Points) operators will automatically receive your phone number or address.
β How to Register Your E911 Address
Download the E911 Registration Form:

- Complete the form with the correct service address for each phone number.

π How to Test Your E911 Registration
To confirm your E911 setup, dial 933 from any UsVox-connected device.
The system will read back your registered phone number, name, and address.

We strongly advise keeping an alternative method (such as a mobile phone or landline) for contacting 911 services in case of emergency.
